Our Friends, the Olsons!

-By Emmeline

On our trip to France we had the great privilege of traveling with our friends the Olsons! We really had fun getting to know each one of them better:  Erik, Katie, Maggie (12), Jake (10), Tom (8), Richard (5), and Audrey (2).

From smallest to tallest....Audrey, Anthon, George, Rich, Grace, Tom, Maggie, Me, and Jake.

We kids didn't really know the Olsons very well because we had only met together two times as families, once for a dinner and once for a law firm party. But on this trip we’ve gotten to know each other and we get along so very well!  They are really fun to be around!
Maggie, Grace & Emmeline's secret garden.

We were also very grateful to Erik, because he totally saved us! Every time we needed to order something or ask for something he was right there to help us (because fortunately, he speaks French).
We have enjoyed driving to fun sites together (getting lost only once or twice and backing into a ditch just once—good job dad). We enjoyed eating out together and learning about French history, Joan of Arc, and other amazing and interesting things together.

We have enjoyed playing lots of games together in the park and at each one of our houses .We have enjoyed playing… tag, jackpot, kick the bottle, hide and go seek and clue (not the board game but a game we made up). We kids have really enjoyed it when we have movie nights and the parents go out for dinner.  We practicely eat all the chocolate in the house, and the pop popcorn, jumped around, played games ,and just had a party.
Jake and Tom are really nice to Anthon and patient because
Anthon want to punch and wrestle with them ALL the time!
We really love our friends the Olsons and are glad we are on this wonderful adventure together!

They are very creative friends and we make up a lot of great play themes!
P.S.  We miss you guys and can't wait to meet back up with you, in Milan, Italy tomorrow for dinner!  I can't wait for the amazing pizza.......

P.P.S  It's day 20 and the mom who formats the posts has got to go to bed, so the post on the amazing Roman Ruins today will have to wait.....  Good night!
Great smile, Tom.
